Only fourteen seats? Pass the hemlock!
The New York Times is running an unintentionally hilarious story about what will happen to the morale of Democrats if they do not win control of the House of Representatives today.
“Two years ago, winning 14 seats in the House would have been a pipe dream,” said Matt Bennett, a founder of Third Way, a moderate Democratic organization. Now, Mr. Bennett said, failure to win the House, even by one seat, would send Democrats diving under their beds (not to mention what it might do to all the pundits).
“It would be crushing,” he said. “It would be extremely difficult.”
Mr. Cook put it more succinctly. “I think you’d see a Jim Jones situation — it would be a mass suicide,” he said.
Well, that would certainly help the Republicans in 2008.
It is a sad commentary on the Republican "stewardship" of the House that the main reason I want the Republicans to maintain control today is so that I can laugh myself silly reading comments on the lefty blogs tomorrow.

Indeed!
Coulter's piece this week was good for historical context. It also highlights just how effective this administration, and the GOP overall, have been in getting out the vote.
As the piece you linked last week so put it - we don't talk about we're going to vote, or how we voted, we just vote.
Dosnt it just amaze you the way the liberal left-wing news media whine about what might happen if the GOP takes over its like when the clinton gun ban ended in 2004 the liberal news media were making all sorts of rediclous predictions i mean way back in 1982 KENNESHAW GEORGIA passed a gun in every home law and as usial the liberal news media were making the most stupid predictions of blood flowing like a river throught the streets on the town but instead crime went down in the town and well last year FLORIDA passed its CASTLE DOCTRINE which states a person can used a gun to defend their home from crinimals and the brady center is spreading the lies i mean florida should sue the brady campaign and well when it came to the big amount of deaths over being able to use a gun the NYTs vulture went to georgia looking for a feast and starved to death instead

Apparently Kenneshaw has yet to pass the punctuation-in-every-sentence law. Who knew James Joyce was alive and well and leaving far right-wing comments on blogs?

If you're looking for a plan B, I've seen some funnies on conservative blogs today.

It was never more than a dream! At least not since we learned about Mike Foley's email habits.
