Enemies list

What do these countries have in common?

Belarus, Burma, China, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam

I mean, other than that they are brutal and disgusting dictatorships.

Don't know? Well, these countries used to be on the same list, but are no longer:
Libya, Maldives, Nepal

Still don't know? Answer here.

Without looking, my first guess would have to be UN human rights council or whatever it is. Because history conclusively proves that that vicious oppression by dictators is the best way to guarantee the preservation of human rights.

League of Globalized Rogue States

Remember the good old days, when the techno-libertarian types, the Peter Huber types, and countless other idealists (of both Left and Right, as well as [purported]"Center") were so *sure* that the Internet and the Web (not to mention related new/improved communications tech--fax, cell phones, SMS, etc.) spelled the death-knell for tyrannies worldwide?

It's worth recalling computer scientist David Gelernter’s review of Peter Huber’s “Orwell’s Revenge,” from the 6/12/95 issue of National Review:
