The Hawkeyes win the battle for Iowa

My morning rage against the New York Times and other apologists for the choices of Muslims gave way to glee this afternoon. Iowa beat Iowa State for only the third time in the last nine attempts, and is much of the way through the cursed month of September. If they don't blow it against the Illini next weekend, the Hawkeyes will finish up the month back in Iowa City against Ohio State in what might be the most important Big Ten game of the year.

This being the battle for Iowa, it was not surprising that at least one presidential candidate showed up. John Kerry made an appearance among the tailgaters before the game, no doubt to boost his bona fides as a fan of actual American sports.

Rumor has it that he favored both sides to win.

In politics, as in business, we are always looking for those win-win's.

Don't be so harsh on the junior senator from MA. Just remember He cheered for a Iowa State win before he cheered aganist it. He sees no problem with that. And we shouldn't either...just move along nothing happing here.
