Microsoft closed over 28 today, setting a 12 month high. What do we make of

That, on a five year chart, it hasn't been much of an investment compared to an S&P 500 index fund?

With all the talk of tech being the next popular sector, MSFT shows that value stocks are still in vouge.

People are buying a lot of new PC's and tossing their old ones -- that puts cash in MS's wallet.

Site Meter tells me the vast majority of my visitors are running XP.

I've been finding a lot of perfectly fine Pentium II and AMD K6-2 machines in in the garbage. The machine I'm typing on right now is a Compaq Deskpro PII 350mhz with *512M* ram that came out of a dumpster.

If its free its me ;->
