The first anniversary of Rathergate
Power Line, Little Green Footballs and a host of other bloggers handed Dan Rather the rope by which he would hang himself. Just for grins, here is the link to the original "Sixty-First Minute" post at Power Line, perhaps the most heavily tracked blog post of all time. And, for a hearty bwahahaha!, here is the link to Charles Johnson's famous "animated gif," which superimposed the alleged Killian memo over a re-typing of the exact text into Microsoft Word's default settings. It's a beautiful thing.
Apart from low-grade piling on during the blogburst, my own contribution did not come until months later, when I fisked the shallow attempt by the New York Review of Books to claim that Rather and CBS News really didn't do anything wrong. We do what we can.
