The Seventh Circuit is down with that...

One of the great things about life tenure is you get to write stuff like this (pdf, footnote 1) and it carries, er, the force of law:
1 The trial transcript quotes Ms. Hayden as saying Murphy called
her a snitch bitch “hoe.” A “hoe,” of course, is a tool used for
weeding and gardening. We think the court reporter, unfamiliar
with rap music (perhaps thankfully so), misunderstood Hayden’s
response. We have taken the liberty of changing “hoe” to “ho,” a
staple of rap music vernacular as, for example, when Ludacris
raps “You doin’ ho activities with ho tendencies.”

CWCID: Adam.

Of course this Ho is not to be confused with the symbol for the element Holmium (Atomic Number 67, a rare earth element named after Stockholm, Sweden).

Not to mention westward ho, ho hum or Uncle Ho. Remember the Hanoi Hilton?

Seventh Ciruit. Hmm. I didn't expect Judge Evans to be interested in Ludacris. Ludacris is from Georgia in the Eleventh Circuit. I could see the "West Coast" Ninth Circuit trippin to Ludacris. But the judges of the Seventh Circuit? No way. Color me surprised. Oh, and word up.
