Lake effect snow
Have you ever lived in Chicago or Milwaukee? Sometimes the snow will pour out of the sky along the lake and perhaps a half mile inland, but no further. You can actually see where the snow ends as you walk along Armitage or Belmont or Addison. Dramatic lake effect snow is, well, cool.
