Do you speak Yankee or Dixie?
I'm sure that we are all interested to find out how Charlottesvillain scores...

I scored a 52% Dixie as well, a confluence of my midwestern upbringing, northeastern education, adulthood, and wife, with some southern influences thrown in. Not a big surprise. (I have lived south of the Mason-Dixon less than a year after all, and in a town filled with transplants).

81% (Dixie). Did you have any Confederate ancestors?
That's me!

We do indeed have Confederate ancestors. My great-great-grandfather, who arrived from Germany in 1856, settled in Spartenburg. He fought for the Confederacy and was wounded. Went back to Spartenburg and became a pillar of the community there, and eventually mayor. He was assassinated(!) in 1891.
Someday I may blog on the subject.

Jack, don't forget Colonel Robert T. Hubard, whose monument can be found in the family plot.
, atSorry, you guys, but if I'm 55% Dixie (100% Southern California Valley Girl, with Midwestern parents, all school in California and now living in Chicago for 20+ years), then I think what this test measures is lack of Yankee-isms -- MCU
