September 11
Never forgive, never forget, never excuse. 
From last year, this picture of a company of Marines in Iraq says it all.
I may write more today -- I have never written about my September 11 -- or I may let you read the amazing tributes posted on or through the wonderful blogs listed to the right. Particularly read the heroic story of Welles Crowther, the "man in the red bandanna." I did not know him well, but he was my step-father's only nephew and one of the many heroes that awful day.
