Internet Slang 101: Troll
Example: "Don't listen to him, he's just trolling. It's obvious from the way he said the Jews caused 9/11."

I've discovered that linking or copy/pasting their trollish comments where people they care about can see it (i.e. their own precious blog) is more just and effective.
What, the rest of you thought that Christopher Chambers stopped coming here and pissing people off on purpose out of the goodness of his heart?
Only applicable in a minute number of cases, though.

I did notice he stopped commenting here. I have on occasion read his blog, which features much better writing and arguments than his comments here did.
I applied a similar tactic to a troll here, who among other things had predicted a gain of 20 House seats in 2010 for the Pubs- "mark my words"- which was one of the troll's more reasonable comments. After the election, when the troll commented here, I linked to the "mark my words" comment.
In reply, the troll implied there was something wrong with me for having remembered "mark my words." Whatever. As far as I can tell, the troll hasn't been back, so it worked.
I wonder if Chris Chambers has deleted the trollish quotes comments from his blog.

However, if he'd only said it in a nicer or more persuasive way...
:p
(But forget I said any of that. Just buy my books, will ya?)
