Funny girl

Right Wing News has rounded up the "best" quotations of 2010 from my old friend Ann Coulter. Some are funny, some are sharp, and some are both. I liked this one, though, because so few people were willing to frame it this way:

The reason not to burn Qurans is that it's unkind -- not to jihadists, but to Muslims who mean us no harm. The same goes for building a mosque at ground zero -- in both cases, it's not a question of anyone's "rights," it's just a nasty thing to do.

One of the reasons that the extreme left is so annoying is that many of us remember a time when they would be given no pulpit because they were simply ridiculous.

Now, being "PC", many feel socially obligated to give them equal exposure to those with actual helpful ideas.

Coulter will have none of this. God bless her, she just calls them ridiculous right in their sputtering , apoplectic faces.

Because they are.

Point of information, Tigerhawk. Presume you meant to say "my friend of long standing..."

He probably meant mon vieux but not ma cherie, that is, unless there's something going on about which we're not cognizant.

Well, if we are uninformed I suggest that we should immediately begin speculating. This is the Internet, after all, and facts should never be a bar to discussion. I am speculating that he indeed meant ma cherie and he meant it to be said with enthusiasm!
