NOW-style feminism is about class, not gender. Their only remaining "women's issue" is abortion. Everything else is about keeping the class of the intellectually anointed in place.
They'd better hope they are right about abortion, then - not just generally right but down-the-line extremist correct, because it's the only non-class-based issue they have left, their only card to play.
Little wonder that they are unable to even entertain the idea that they might be wrong on that one. It would be the end of them. And what is the life of an unborn child compared to the political power of their class, after all?

I feel that the NOW has taken such a credibility hit during the Clinton years, topped off by the failure to condemn Sarah Palin's media bashing, that they have become irrelevant.
Perhaps I should say...even MORE irrelevant.

Well...if you think about it...Meg probably could kick Jerry's ass...and Jerry does have a bigger vagina...so I do understand the NOW endorsement!!!!
