The ties that bind
A heartwarming tale of friendship and camaraderie from, of all places, the Los Angeles Times.
More along the same lines here.
Change, dat. Not.

To quote Dear Leader: "Spread the wealth around a little bit"
Works great, especially when it's not YOUR wealth...
I stopped reading after the "journalist" claimed: We already knew that BP and its folks were significant contributors to the record $750-million war chest of Barack Obama's 2007-08 campaign.
Significant? Pfffttt. Obama received $71,000 in contributions from employees who worked at BP!! Not from a PAC. Good grief, the oil industry spent $175M lobbying Congress in 2009 alone!
Oh, BTW, the "significant" $71,000 in contributions he received from individuals who worked at BP represented less than .1% of the total amount ($750M) contributed to his campaign. Scandalous, I say!

Thanks to Anon 01:21 for bringing us up to date of the latest lame MediaMatters spin.
Of course, ignored (easy to do when one is an ignoramus)is the nearly $3 million in BP-related PAC donations and the nearly $700,000 in employee contributions over the last two decades. That doesn't even scratch the nearly 16 million in lobbying funds spent.
I wonder if Rahm's rent was listed in this???
