Teenage werewolves

There are a lot of bloggers in my family. The newest is a cousin of mine and experienced mother who has resolved to be outside at sunrise every day this year. If you are now, have been, or will be the parent of a teenager, her post this morning will resonate for you.

I love your reference to your sister as an "experienced mother". One of my greatest memories is walking out of the hospital holding my newly born daughter (now a senior in college!) and feeling the fear of my complete inexperience. I looked at my wife and complained, "they let us out of there without any sort of a manual, no lessons, nothing! How are we supposed to know what to do?" Even after raising three kids I wouldn't call myself an experienced parent, only an old one.

Great blog - terrific post! I am just embarking on the first of four kids who is just entering the teeny-bopper years. It is nice to read the reflections of one who has not only been there, but has come out of it with her sanity and perspective in tact.
