Climate science: The new era of transparency dawns
Not.
Whether or not the CRU has a good reason for taking down the tree-ring data that drives the "hockey stick," it is compounding its public relations problem by not explaining itself very clearly. It is almost as if the whole thing is a Rovian plot to auto-discredit the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis.

They are slowly realizing that the snowball is beginning to roll (pun intended).
Up until now they had absolute media and government protection...at least the media seams are starting to crack a little.
Two weeks ago, they were like Tiger Woods at the accident scene thinking: "So what, I backed into a fire hydrant at 2 in the morning after a fight with my wife...what could possible come of this???"

FOX had focus group guru Frank Luntz on yesterday. He suggested, among other statistics, that only 8per cent of the public thought AGW was not a fact. Based on this his view is no politician should be attacking the science. They should be offering solutions.
I hope no-one takes up his suggestion.
