Interesting.
Both my wife and I were activists in the 60's because we wanted to government OUT of our lives. For this we were considered radicals.
We feel the same way now.
For this we are considered Conservatives.
Hayden and his bunch were part of the Loon Brigade. Time has left them behind...at least until Obama became the spokesperson of their alleged resurrection.
Funny thing is....Obama would toss these guys under the bus in a heartbeat if they did not poll well. If I were Mr. Hayden, I would hold the adulation.

Who cares? I actually like Hayden, a fixture here in California

JPMcT makes an excellent point about the cutural transformation of America. Sixties "radicals" might have been anti-imperialist, anti-war and even anti-American, but this was always background music the fundamental distrust of institutions, especially the government. Now they argue the federal government is the solution! Wierd.
OT, but Andy McCarthy is well worth reading today on Holders dishonest defense of the indefensible in front of Congress. Check out this one and this one.

Well sure the government is the solution... when they're the ones in charge.
, atMy bet is that Hayden wants to make some money off BO while it can still be made. Once the election rolls around again and BO is tossed out on his ear, no money will be able to be made from the lefties that care about any book TH might write.
, atHey Victoria, what kind of fixture do you think good ole Tom is? A toilet?
