Obama is Peron without the gold braid.

The US today is actually in a worse position than when Peron came to power in post-WWII Argentina. Argentina did well by WWII, and so had a strong fiscal position. Peron squandered it. Argentina was also rich enough in resources to be able to try to go it alone -- we're too dependent on foreign energy.

I can't wait for Michelle to be declared "beloved of the people." It'll be a good story for the PAW.
