Chicago
5 Comments:
, atI spent 6 weeks there years ago. Stayed at the Allerton. It was for a training class when I was with Shearson Lehman Brothers. Chicago is a great city.

Attended The American College of Surgeons convention there in October, 1980. Miserably cold, windy and the "loop slasher" was making rounds at night.
I've opted for San Francisco for this meeting since then.

Nice shots, the top one contains the new Trump building (the silver thing) and it is a pretty good shot of the building, you may want to try to sell it to the Donald.

Everything I know about Chicago I learned from the Blues Brothers movie. "1060 West Addison" indeed.

A sight for sore eyes. Thanks, TH.
@ JSF from Wednesday: The Allerton was the first hotel I ever stayed in in Chicago, and it was at a time when key cards, instead of actual keys for rooms, were still relatively new, I think. "Tip - Tap - Top"
