Dumber than a box of rocks?
I hate to speak, write, or even think ill of anybody who has served our country in its armed forces, but this is perhaps the dumbest post yet written on the Joe Wilson outburst kerfuffle.
Learned response here.
CWCID: I'd tell you who sent me this link, but it might get him in trouble with his (other) relatives.

Seems there have been a few other responses as well.
That's three quarters of a million dollars in just 48 hours! It is expected that he will have raised over a million dollars by the end of the weekend.
Gee, Democrats, PLEASE bring that "resolution" on -- next week if you don't mind!
Voting against it could become the single best inducement of money flow in the history of political fund-raising.
All Wilson did was honestly respond after hearing too many lies. Shit, I was screaming you're a liar earlier than Wilson, and explaining the truth to my (almost) 10-year old.
As for the protocol and custom, OK, got it for what it's worth. I have a friend who is pretty well along in the military ... he's shared stories ... not all these guys are honorable (although I believe the vast majority deserve our respect).
I can't believe anyone took this seriously. This was obviously a tounge in cheek post. It is kinda ridiculous to rise to the bait and treat it as a literal objection based on Obama's role a CIC. Maybe the republican leadership needs to have discipline in its ranks. This post, however, is mocking, not literal.

I dunno, Anon 9:24. I took it seriously but went back after your comment to see if I'd been snookered. Eaton was Hillary's military advisor, and I think he meant what he wrote.

I didn't get a sarcastic vibe either.

There's an interesting history of assaults on the floor of Congress between menbers who disagree...sometimes with serious injury.
There was also a time when it would have been quite palatable if Wilson had quietly gone up to Obama, slapped him in the face with his glove and challenged him to a duel.
That used to be socially acceptable behaviour as well.
We've become wimps...

Pot, Ketttle, Black.
Protocol? Eaton was one of the five retired generals who, as a group, were openly critical of war fighting policy during a war on two fronts. As I recall, they did this close to the election.

I'm glad I'm not a congresscritter, or they would have me on the rack and be heating up the oil for what I was saying to the radio during the speech.
I support what Joe did, but he might have picked a slightly-less obvious way of doing it. Perhaps the Animal House method?
