Secretary Clinton mans up
President Obama has not spoken about the situation with the pirates near the Horn of Africa, but at least one member of his cabinet has:
It is the sign of a good manager to be able to delegate tasks. The fact that Sec. Clinton is the strong face of the U.S. political response speaks well of President Obama's managerial skills, or perhaps it is simply a case of the president believing that from the perspective of a small group of East African criminals, she might be scarier than he is."These people are nothing more than criminals and we are bringing to bear a number of our assets, including naval and FBI, in order to resolve the hostage situation and bring the pirates to justice," Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said while Obama remained silent for a second straight day.

Talking tough about a band of 4 pirate nobodies trapped at sea without fuel and provisions staring down a US destroyer is easy.
I won't be impressed until they talk tough to someone who matters.

This was Obama's opportunity to step up to the podium and act like a red-blooded American man, state that piracy on the high seas will not be tolerated nor will the countries that support it and pledge American military response for our citizens victimized by these thugs.
Instead, he sends a woman to make vague statements and "continues to monitor the situation"
I suspect he's monitoring the situation because:
1. He has no earthly idea what to do and no character to rely on.
2. Hasn't learned anything from the Pueblo incident.

The administration treats these pirates as "criminals" when in fact they are Muslim terrorists that are not entitled to protection under the laws of war or UN convention. They should be summarily hung, as pirates have been throughout history. Otherwise, they become a funding source for Al Qaeda.

All they have to do is murder the hostage and they will be sent to their reward featuring 27 or is it 72 virgins.
You notice that they haven't done so yet.

I think word has gotten around that Paradise has run out of Virgins...at least female ones.
