"So am I"

Either Barack Obama thinks that Americans are stupid, or he is stupid. There really is no third alternative.

Just like his no tax increase for the "less than rich" poeple. Have we forgotten this: According to the company software Mr. Geithner could not understand, Turbo Tax states that the income tax rates will reset to the 2001 rates; 15%, 27.5%, 30.5%, 35.5% and 39.6%. President Obama said he would allow them to reset. Presently they are 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33% and 35%. And look at the impact on the poorest Americans; the special low 10 percent bracket is eliminated. So not just those over $250,000 will pay more because of their loss of mortgage deduction, charity deductions and the increased tax rates proposed for them next year, but all Americans who pay taxes will be impacted by this return to the 2001 tax rates as well as indirectly by the carbon cap taxes. I also imagine that some of those now not paying taxes, again the poorest Americans, will have to pay taxes since the Bush tax cuts raised the amount earned exempt from taxation. Plus they, I assume, would not receive money from the “negative income tax” program.

The combative Rahm Emanuel probably is writing the scripts for Obama's tough-guy act.

He thinks you are stupid. And you proved it by electing him.

There's a third option: Obama knows that 60% of the public is still recovering from BDS and thus believes anything that the derelict MSM, which is in the pocket for him, is feeding them. He is enjoying the ride as long as he can. That is as long as his approval ratings are above 40.

For the first time I agree with Barry. 52% of the public voted for him and 99% of the media worships him. I rest his case.

Shades of mental instability are also explanations: he is, after all, liberal.

Anonymous,

53%. He’s more right than you think.

And who are these people who make up that 1% of the media that doesn’t worship him?

I'm not usually paranoid, but Obama keeps triggering my spidey sense. His saying he's about to fight the K Street lobbyists is an example of his Ministry of Truth-like manipulations of the media.

Even though many of us see this statement as laughable, expect it to set the media narrative over the next few days. It's also pre-emptive ... Obama doesn't want the narrative to be "K Street lobbyists are one of the few winners in America right now." So now he's ahead of that story line, and sets himself up to look like a hero.

This is Obama's MO.

We do need to bring back George Orwell to write "Animal Farm 2"

Axelrod plays the role of Squealer in Animal Farm 2. Axelrod has two businesses -- one a political consultancy, the other is a secretive media spin operation which is into creating fake grassroots support -- they call it "Astroturf". Axelrod often uses the internet to spread false stories, or uses paid-for trolls on blog sites and the like.

All during the campaign, Axelrod was a master at manipulating the media to promote Obama. They take huge advantage of what I've been calling the "Six Degrees of Separation" effect: Many whites will believe anything that a polished black man tells them -- even more are afraid to call him out as a liar.

The following shows how Obama and Axelrod work:

As many of you may know, Obama won his US Senate seat in 2004 because his two main opponents were torpedoed by revelations over their divorces, first his main Democratic rival in the primary, then Republican Jack Ryan in the general. The latter is especially revealing about Obama-Axelrod. Axelrod got his old buddies at the Chicago Tribune to go to California to unseal records in Ryan's 1999 child custody fight. Over the objections of all the interested parties -- including Ryan's ex-wife -- salacious details were revealed. Ryan's ex-wife -- who starred on Star Trek -- had been having an affair with its producer -- so she made allegations that Ryan wanted her to have sex with him at a sex club.

The month before, Obama had said "This is going to be a contest of ideas."

As it came out: "On April 2, 2004, Barack Obama changed his position about the Ryans' soon-to-be-released divorce records, and called on Democrats to not inject them into the campaign. The Ryan campaign characterized Obama's shift as hypocritical, because Obama's backers had been emailing reports about the divorce records prior to Judge Schnider's decision."

Ryan dropped out ... he was vulnerable because he had developed a squeaky clean image ... which didn't fit with claims that he had asked his wife to perform fellatio on him in front of strangers ...

After Ryan dropped out, Obama said: "What happened to him over the last three days was unfortunate," Obama said. "It's not something I certainly would wish on anybody. And having said that, from this point forward, I think we will be continuing to talk about the issues."

Be afraid ...

Well, actually it's both. He thinks YOU'RE stupid, and he IS stupid. But smarter than his voters.

Obama's sole purpose is to destroy the middle class in America. The massive spending will be followed by printing money to pay and then, by roaring inflation that will destroy the non-income wealth of the middle class. Whether it is because he is a communist or the people that own him are communists, I don't know.
Default on our debt will destroy China, Japan and others who have bought it. Soros, Saudi and several other very wealthy folks (who don't own dollars) will step in and buy the US economy and give some of it to the folks who really deserve it.
It is not that Obama now thinks we are stupid, that was obvious when he campaigned as an empty suit and the Mathews of the world thought he had substance.
The process by which Obama's background was and is being obscured should have proven that an elaborate process was involved. We shouldhave seen it coming and should not be surprised now that we are and will be it's victims.

Obama isn't stupid. He's oblivious to math and science, and any kind of quantitative economics ... but he obviously did well at political science, and impressed the critical legal studies professors at Harvard Law.

I suspect he aims to make radical socialist change to America ... so that we'll all be equal ... but with the right kind of thinkers in charge ... and if these thinkers get a few extra perks they're entitled.

If he's not stopped, the effect will be to destroy the middle class ... no more kulaks ... the working class will be poorer. Obama probably wants to eliminate the truly rich, but they'll only be left more powerful.

What Obama doesn't see is that failed democracies lead to fascism, not socialism. Let's hope we get the mild kind. I lived through it here in NYC ... Giuliani following on Dinkins.

I don't think stupidity is involved at all...if you ignore the progressive cultural illiteracy of the average US citizen over the past two generations.

Obama's actions are not SPREADING wealth...they are ELIMINATING it! His economic measures are truly catastrophic...pouring gasoline on a raging fire, if you will.

Why?

Ask those in true control of this "Hope and Change" demigod...George Soros and a cabal of "open society" advocates who are after one thing...buying the world economy at fire sale prices...and then controlling it.

If you think that sounds over the top...ask yourself how Obama is getting away with it...and how long...and what will happen when everybody wakes up.

Maybe those crazy paramilitary guys in the hills of Minnesota have been right all along...

Obama had some luck and some good insight into how to become President. The luck was mostly errors by Hilary and the GOP.

He has one sort of intelligence. Political intelligence. The genius of Stalin perhaps.

The US system offered us McCain and Obama. Both were big government people who differed somewhat in their speeches. But I suspect no one really trusted or believed anything either said.

Obama ran a masterful campaign of saying nothing concrete and letting the media adore and adorn him.

His election was like an ordinary movie which catches fire and makes a billion dollars. It was a mania. And one still in progress.

There was no reason for most voters to buy that Obama ticket, and there seemed no reason to buy the McCain ticket either.

Why is Obama going left? IMO just because going left it is easier.

He has a strong government structure to enforce whatever plans the Congress will pass. And he has a Congress that will authorize almost anything so long as enough graft comes their way.

So O and his staff go left and use the force of government to take over everything. Health care, banking, manufacturing, energy, services and farming are moving from some independence to total direction by bureaucracy.

The internet will be taxed and censored. You won't be allowed to offend others. Yes, some animals will be more equal than others...

Hints at some new Fairness Doctrine are made to signal media that bad things can also happen to them.

Education will receive more money and more direction from D.C. And at heart the educators prefer that; nothing is more utopian than the classic academic life if it can shed the constraint of money.

Going left is always comforting to the political ego. It makes an explicit statement that politicans are a superior class ordained by nature to direct all others.

And thinking that is pretty heady wine.

Well, since none of you discerned his real, political purpose in targeting special interest groups -- to frame opposition to his budget as the self-interested action of a bunch of lobbyists rather than the legitimate concerns of legislators -- I'd say he's pretty smart and you are less so.
