Somebody at State or the White House is going to have send 10 Downing Street a Region 1 DVD player and an adapter plug kit for UK power outlets.
Probably can get it done for less than $150 including shipping (assuming it's not Blu-Ray).

It would have been more efficient to have just given the PM a gift certificate to NetFlix.
As it is, of course they're incompetent. They must realize it too, and seem to be hoping against hope the economy rises up and bails them out. They talk all the time about how frustrated they are that they are distracted from their historic mission by these economic problems. Expanding government, realigning our foreign policy, restricting political speech and gun rights, while expanding positive rights and appointing crazies to the bench is what they'd really rather be doing, and if the economy doesn't cooperate they might not have time to get around to it.
