Well, sometimes it is because I see something that I think is interesting or useful, but mostly it is because we get a little tip when you buy something through the link (whether you buy the thing that is linked or something else entirely). No, the point is not to line my pockets -- I give it all, and then some, to charity -- but I can see the traffic that goes through (with no personal identifiers, of course) and take interest in the numbers we can drive through the site. It amuses me. That said, if you enjoy this blog or any other and you otherwise buy from Amazon, you might as well click through a link and help a blogger. It is free to you!
