Princeton professor Robbie George wins medal, plays banjo

Conservatives are delighted that Princeton University professor Robert P. George has won the Presidential Citizen's Medal. Who says conservatives cannot be intellectual?*

Anyway, most conservatives like Professor George for his all-too-rare view that there is a place for social conservativism in elite, secular universities. All good, but not my reason. I like him because he plays the banjo!

Not as amusing as Cornel West (who's a buddy of George's apparently) trying to rap, but hey.

PS I little birdie in Chicago "close to" the US atty's office hinted that Rahm Emmanuel & Axelrod actually assisted in dropping a dime on Blago. I know you are just itching to find something, anything...or churn it around just to keep the average dittohead, rabid bumpkin or Hannity fan enraged, but I find this kind of stuff much more interesting, even exciting.

You should come to DC for the Inaugural shindigs. You can stay with us. Bring your tux and dancing shoes. We'll make you and honorary regular person, you can celebrate MLK's birthday (yikes) and then watch the swearing-in, party, then go home and go back to cyber-loon world. ;-)

Actually he may have point regarding Emmanuel at least, an perhaps Axelrod. They despised Blagojevich and eliminating him as a power center is worth the temporary bad blood and negative PR. That is true court intrigue; internecine backstabbing is the juiciest.

Never heard of this prof.

A life-long friend and fishing buddy who is an accomplished professional bluegrass musician likes to tell this one:
Q: What is the difference between an banjo and a trampoline?
A: People remove their shoes before they jump up and down on a trampoline.
