"Almost indescribably terrible"
The Wall Street Journal rounds up the reactions of economists to last week's employment report. They are discouraged, and they seem to have kept their jobs. Imagine how the unemployed people feel.
Notwithstanding a huge increase in the unemployed, our company is growing and we are still having a devilishly hard time finding good people to fill critical roles. If you are within commuting distance of Princeton, New Jersey and are either (i) an experienced corporate tax accountant, familiar with FAS 109, FIN 48, and tax provisioning, or (ii) experienced in medical device regulatory affairs and/or quality assurance, send me an email with your resume at the address on the right sidebar.
I wonder the extent to which the housing crisis is interfering with liquidity in the labor market. I suspect there are a lot of people who cannot move toward job opportunities because they cannot sell their existing homes.
