News overload?

The New York Times has an amusing article about the obssession so many people have with the news, including bloggers and blog readers. I suppose it is not in my interest to link to it, but the opening paragraph is priceless:

Yana Collins Lehman, a film production accountant who lives in Brooklyn, knew something was amiss when her 5-year-old son, Beckett, started to announce to no one in particular, ā€œIā€™m John McCain, and I approved this statement.ā€

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there is very little that Ms. Collins Lehman's son could say that would be more embarrassing to a film production accountant in Brooklyn.

This is funny cause I'm from NYC and haven't seen any McCain ads, let alone ads repeated enough for this little boy in Brooklyn to pick up the tag line.
Maybe the kid is internet savvy and saw the ads on youtube?
That's about the only way you can view most McCain ads, and it's not going to get much better in the next three weeks with Obama making major media buys for his deceptive ads.
