Extending TH's experiment

Just ran into a guy on the Delaware-Raritan Canal path who had a McCain-Palin sticker on his car. I made essentially the same remark that TH got in the barbershop.

In return, I got a long lecture on what it was like to live in Communist Czechoslovakia and how much we young people have forgotten.

What was a car doing on the tow path?

How awesome is that?

You know, it would be a good idea to have people that lived in the Eastern Bloc talk to college kids about what it's like to live under communism. Of course, the professor would tell them that's why they shouldn't vote Republican.

Parking lot in Kingston, to be exact.

I grew up in a small town with a fair number of refugees from communism, including some who rented from my parents. That sticks with one.

My two sons from Romania, and all the Romanians we worked with on mission trips, would agree.

I took my mother for a ride in Bucks County today, in the area between Washington Crossing and Doylestown. Many more McCain-Palin lawn signs over there than in Mercer County. They seem to correlate with a very high lawn-sign count for Tom Manion running for Congress.
