Joe Biden

Should be terrified this morning.

It's funny. The last few days the MSM and liberal commentariat has lashed out at Governor Palin, her qualifications and John McCain and his VP vetting process. Today, the MSM and liberal commentariat is busy drying itself off from the hosing down they got last night.

By contrast, Obama's selection of Joe Biden was viewed by the same commentariat as "genius," providing a much needed boost for Obama's seeming lack of foreign policy experience. This demonstrates how the liberal commentariat is devoid of a clue, age, memory or maturity. Joe Biden is a certifiable clown; but they simply don't know it yet. They don't remember. This is the same Joe Biden run out of the primary process in 1988 (the year of the mighty Dukakis candidacy) for clipping a Neil Kinnock speech, biographical background and all. Biden's so stupid he didn't even have the good sense to steal Churchill's or Thatcher's ideas; he stole a Socialist loser's bio and words. The reason the current press doesn't care is they've never heard of Kinnock. Let's hope Biden shares the same electoral ignominy Neil what's-his-name did. That would be suitable punishment for plagiarism.

More recently, this is the Joe Biden who forcefully argued for the partition of Iraq - an idea so completely idiotic that it actually forged agreement amongst Arabs, Turks, Persians, Jews and Russians. IT would piss them all off. And of course, we can compare Biden's Iraq foreign policy chops directly with McCain's Surge --- well, we now know how that came out. Even if the same commentariate chooses to ignore it.

There is no guarantee Senator Biden will make a jackass of himself between now and election day, or that he will gaffe it up at the VP debate. And there is no guarantee that Palin will run circles around Biden when they do meet. But I would say that the risk of Biden's empirically demonstrated buffoonery biting the Democratic ticket may become more obvious to the commentariat, and feed the fears ignited by Palin's exceptional performance last night.

Joe - you better get to the library.

Maybe the VP swap-out occurs on the Left instead of Right, which Hillary holding currency to negotiate the payoff of her campaign debt, and a big spot in the administration for Bill?

I suspect Hillary is currently occupied by selecting her 2012 slogan.

My favorite line from last night was that Palin got more votes running for mayor of Wasilla than Biden got running for president.

It was jujitsu on two of the left's narratives: 1. that Wasilla is just a tiny inconsequential backwater so it should have been easy for Biden to exceed her vote count; 2. that Biden is some sort of grand statesman loved by all;

According to the WaPo, Biden collected a total of 63,157 votes during the Democratic primaries and caucuses this year. By contrast, Wasilla boasts a population of 9,780.

Hmmm, by my count, in order for her to have rec'd more votes, every citizen (regardless of age) would have had to show up at the polling place to vote in Wasilla. Six times.

Who's this Biden guy? Palin has so completely taken the spotlight from all the other candidates that I don't think we'll be hearing much from old Joe for the rest of the campaign. Already, I have the impression that Palin is running against Obama as the only comparisons that are being made are Palin vs Obama.

If we had an honest media, it would be investigating some things about Biden. First, Amtrack communting. Nonsense! He works in DC three days a week but almost certainly is there on other days to accommodate the bribe givers who have hired his son. How does he get from his office to the DC station, who picks him up in Wilmington and drives him home. Where does he live in DC and who pays for it. Second, a guy as arrogant as Biden has to have a girlfriend or two. The folks in those little Georgetown hideaways should have information. Finally, where do Bisden's son's clients and Biden's legislation, voting record and earmarks cross?
Biden is so dumb and has been showboating and thieving for so long that he has to have bad some mistakes. An honest media should find them.

Biden dropped out of the race after Iowa, right? That's how I understood that comment to make sense, because after that point the fact that anyone voted for him at all was kind of silly.

How many votes did he get in the Iowa caucuses? 23.

The point is, Biden never made it into the actual race for President. He got blown out in the primary. Sheeeezzz, already.

The point I find interesting is that John McCain was still in the Hanoi Hilton when Joe Biden was elected to the Senate.
