Upcoming Music in NYC

I haven't looked back having left New York in 2004 after 17 years in the city. College town/country life appeals to me. I guess the thing I miss most from my urban, childless 20s and 30s was the music scene, which I enjoyed tremendously and fairly regularly.

A friend who hasn't left compiles summaries of upcoming shows periodically, and they always bring pangs. Here's his take on the upcoming shows in New York over the next three months or so, with date, band, venue, and description. His top picks in bold. If you live in the NYC area, print it, stick it on your fridge, and take advantage if you can!

If you are going to plug NYC music, then please make it more compact.Find a way to make the information more horizontal, less vertical. I don't like scrolling down all this time to get to an article with more substance. If it's fluff, please keep it short.

Thanks for passing this along. It's gone a long way toward convincing my husband that the political blogs I read actually provide useful information!
