Andy McCarthy is, well, caustic on the report of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on pre-war intelligence. Ouch.

I believe the Bush administration is responsible for this sorry situation. We are all familiar with the Goebbels' quote: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." This is exactly what has happened. Bush's enemies have repeated this for so long and so often that it has become the conventional wisdom. Had the administration forthrightly stomped on this with both feet at its inception, and quoted the Democrat's statements in support of the war back to them as often, we would likely not be in the position we are now. President Bush, however, chose to be above the fray, so here we are.
