I made it to reunions

Moments ago, in preparation for our 25th Reunion class dinner. "Coach" does not normally look like that -- he is trying hard not to laugh.

One can only imagine what Donna B would be capable of...then again.

Keep up the photos. Is Buxton there? Who are your bands? Hopefully your 25th isn't being hijacked by Cheesers (who imposed Southside Johnny on us...).

You guys need some nice "bowler" hats to go with those funky jackets.

Tastes must have changed at the Cheese in the small number of years between our classes, because when I was a Cheeser, our bands (that is, the bands we hired to play at the club, not necessarily the bands hired by Cottage alums to play Reunions) were generally very good. I have fond (if hazy) recollections of Archie Bell & the Drells playing a joint Cap/Cottage weekend afternoon party in the spring sometime in the late '70s. They jammed on "Tighten Up" for what seemed like half an hour. Great band. Southside Johnny is OK, kind of a Springsteen wannabe, but how many times can you hear "Havin' a Party?"

I think a class in the '30s or '20s has a similar reunions blazer. But what is with the shirt under the blazer? The nice thing about those outfits is that you can only wear them once a year!

You guys get a free bowl of soup with those?

[Yeah, Dangerfield from Caddyshack.
Original I ain't.]

Our theme was New Orleans rebirth/Mardi Gras stuff. We had an amazing creole Zydeco band (the famous Terrence Simeon sp?) Friday...but the Cheesers of course had hired Southside through a "substantial donation." Lord. Hell we could have had Hall and Oates. Seriously. A geriatic Hall and Oates doing covers of old R & B songs is about as good as you can get. But no. Cottage boneheads take over...

The blazers are cool, but you should lose the pink nighties, guys.

Escort81, The class of 1983 is continuing a tradition. The design was passed down to them from 1958, who in turn received it from 1933 who perhaps got it from 1918.

To all Tigers:

1. The donation for Southside Johnny for Saturday night of the Class of 1982's 25th Reunion did not come from a member of Cottage Club. Actually, for Mr. Chambers, you'd be very surprised where it came from, but I cannot tell.

2. As for '83, great originality with your jackets! I could go either way on them, but did you really have to do what '33 and '58 did?

3. TH, great photo in your '83 regalia! Hope everyone had a great time.
