One view of the Democratic primary race
I think it is safe to say that the Germans, who do not have an actual vote, have a certain latitude in charicaturing the Democratic nomination contest that Americans do not have. Can you imagine the sanctimonious tut-tutting if somebody rolled this out in Philadelphia next week?

Having lived in Cologne for a few years I saw my share of political floats in the Rose Monday parade, but rarely did they fall outside European political discourse. I guess this American apple is just too ripe for them not to take a bite. But I'm not sure which we should find more offensive, that Obama is portrayed as a brown dog or that Hillary's dress is just short enough to display her cankles.
, atFor some reason, German Carnival floats that deal with American politics often have an anal fixation . What would Dr. Freud say? Those messy, unorganized Amis?
