Bat plane

Bat Inspired Spy Plane : A six-inch robotic spy plane modeled after a bat would gathers visuals, sounds and smells in urban combat zones and transmit information back to a soldier in real time.

Smells? "Sarge, the bat is picking up obvious jihadi armpit stench! Should we call in a strike?"

The only thing missing is the Green Goblin riding on it.

My gosh, that's just the cutest military hardware I've ever seen. I love the little tailhook!

You laugh, but "stinky Arab horde" is in fact a recognizable scent. There are similar stories from Vietnam. Ever see "We Were Soldiers?"

I suspect the scent they are looking to detect is explosives. Think of it as a flying bombsniffer.
