The writers' strike did not end soon enough
I just noticed that I was voluntarily watching American Idol for the second night in a row. Goddamn.

Said strike did not extend to authors, however. You might consider The Truth About Syria or Israel's Secret Wars, my two latest projects.
The first is an examination of how Syria behaves and why, emphasizing their domestic political and security structure and what is required to perpetuate it. Turns out there's an awful lot of stuff that happens with that country that never makes it into Western press.
The second is an actual scholarly study (as opposed to one which is politically motivated or skewed) of Israel's various intelligence and security services since the Haganah in the 30s. It only goes up to 1991, however. (not a big problem, really; most of recent events are probably still classified anyway)

Good point, although I only really watch TV when I'm digging through the giant (work) email backlog that has piled up during the day.
