The terrorists win another one

YouTube has caved in to the demands of Islamic extremists. YouTube has decided that certain opinions -- those held by many Muslims -- are so sacrosanct that they must not be challenged or mocked by people who hold other opinions.

What's the point in having freedom of speech if the violence veto can censor every avenue for its expression? It seems increasingly the case that free speech will not be safe here until it is safe everywhere.

To those of you on the left who claim that the Bush administration has "crushed dissent" and who howl with rage -- rage -- when evangelicals pressure Wal-Mart to remove some anti-Christian artifact of pop culture from its shelves: Where's the outrage?

CWCID: Michelle Malkin.

Obama has already suggested using nuclear weapons against Pakistan, putting the bar up pretty high for all the rest of us warmongers.

I doubt anyone would be interested, but Scott Ott of Scrappleface put together a mildly sarcastic spoof of Hilary's "3 am call to the White House" commercial.

It lasted 20 minutes on You Tube before it was taken down. It was not vulgar or profane, and identified itself at the end as "satire".

The future is what you make of it, and there it is.
