Potter: Tom Maguire is on the case!
Tom Maguire deploys his famous capacity for the precise deconstruction of text and other media against the new Harry Potter movie. Yes, he liked Phoenix, but he also measures the film's inclusions and omissions against prevailing theories for the denouement of the series.

Here's my entry in today's "Get a Life" contest.
In 2006, the U.S. State Department criticized the government of Kazakstan for censoring the web site of Borat Sagdiyev. It's nice to know that our government will take the time to defend the rights of a fictional character. Let's hope they can expound on the new Harry Potter movie, too.

The false horcrux with the note from R.A.B. does not appear at the end of the 5th book (Order of the Phenix) but at the end of the 6th book (Half-Blodd Prince). Therefore Maguire deploys his ignorance and all his deductions are wrong.

Ruth, haven’t you heard of foreshadowing? The “heavy gold locket” makes an appearance in OotP as “a heavy locket that none of them could open” when they were cleaning the house, almost exactly the same description as the “heavy” locket in Half-Blood Prince that belonged to Slitherin.
Much better description in:

Ok, I give up. I am officially a Harry Potter geek.
