Flowers and whatnot
Ann Althouse is flower blogging like a woman possessed. Well, two can play at that game. Behold my photo of an actual lotus flower, taken one year ago today in the vicinity of Giulin, China:

Beautiful. One of those History Channel weird shows proposed that the Egyptians sailed to the New World--yes, channelling Thor Hyerdall--but as proof noted that several mummies showed traces of tobacco use. Apparently lotus (Nile lotus...I don't know about this Chinese variety) had the same chemical footprint as older strains of tobacco. So, case solved? I know it was all bizarre, but the History Channel tends to spew junk like that, and R Lee Ermey's "Mail Call," than truly educational programs.
Perhaps you should donate your photos?
Some say that the VIKINGS arived in the new world before columbus now are they trying to twist history again?
