Remember the Kingston Trio
I'll admit it. I love the Kingston Trio. Yes, they were lefty, but in a time when anybody with a rebellious streak was.
Listen to their hits in .wav files here, including the greatest mass transit song of all time, "Charlie and the MTA."

Not only the Trio, but remember their premier songwriter and instrumentalist John Stewart. Stewart later had a modestly successful solo career (I'll never forget hearing a JS song while driving on an isolated road in Spain), and can occasionall be heard at a local live music venue here in N. California.

A group by that name, after many incarnations, still tours, and is a very decent concert, even without original members.
The sendup of the KT in "A Mighty Wind" was painfully accurate.

As a Weblos Scout way back when, we had a "talent" show. I got to sing the lead to "Tom Dooly" with two of by buds doing the chorus.
The Kingston Trio and the Chad Mitchell Trio were all the rage at the time.
