Oh. That liberal media.

Whether a playful prank, wishful thinking, or a Freudian slip, when CNN reports that "Bush Resigns" you have to wonder whether the mainstream media's vaunted quality control mechanisms -- you know, those people who claim they are "editors" -- are any better at proofreading than the average blogger.

During the Vietnam War one of my newspaper friends accidentally wrote, "Vice President Hubert Humphrey served barbecued children and strawberry shortcake at the picnic."

In a different newspaper article, a friend wrote, "The pen is mightier than the sword." Unfortunately, he left out the space between the word "pen" and the word "is."

And how many back in 2000 were already proclaiming gore as the new president even before the polls closed and while the florida court was doing all that rediclous poppycock

Onions have layers. And ogres are complex like onions, they have layers, too. See what you learn from kid's movies?
Does that make CNN = Shrek?

PS. Shrek is a word with Germanic roots, meaning "terrible". So yeah, CNN is terrible. And that's how I reasoned that out.

I understand that a news paper back in april 1912 proclaimed the the RMS TITANIC was afloat and making for new york habor and back when the NYTs proclaimed that it will be 1000 years before anyone invents a powered flying machine and as anyone knows DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN

Sometime in the early 1900's, the commissioner of the U.S. Patent Office said that anything that can be invented has already been invented.

(Warning to lefties: The next ppg is specifically intended to scare the [bleep] out of you.)

As for Bush resigning, I'm sure the Congress will love working with our new President Cheney.

I remember back in the mid 70's when the SF Chronicle reported "Rings Around Uranus". It was true, but was it right?
