Power Line supports Mitt Romney!

Either that, or it's been hacked. I'm guessing the latter, although it certainly does not preclude the former. Applicable screencap:

MORE: I've confirmed from a reliable source that Power Line was indeed hacked with a creative script that surrounded every letter in every post with "mitt romney". The site's now been cleaned up (so the link above no longer works), but they seem to have lost their work for January 6. If anybody out there kept a copy of the original, I'm sure they would appreciate it.

But still we wonder: If one is talented enough to take down a major blog by surrounding every letter with a phrase, why "mitt romney"?

I don't know why one would hack in and use Romney's name, but I will say this: Romney is the GOP's best shot at putting a person of intelligence into the whitehouse.

He fixed a deficit without raising taxes, and is winning the fight for traditional marriage in Mass.

"Why Mitt Romney?"

It might possibly have something to do with Paul Mirengoff's disclaimer in regard to his daughter's employment with Romney's exploratory committee.

In other words, it looks like the hackers are ignorant of politics and simply latched onto the obvious and most current expression...as The Deacon's disclaimer is the last writing available before the attack.

Also, it looks to me that the hacker penetrated through Scott Johnson's wall.

I'll vote for Hillary before I'll vote for Romney.

Hillary scares me, but Romney scares me more.

Purple,

Why so? Expand.

Mitt's Massachusetts legacy is hardly Presidential material and did great damage to his own party. Autocratic, transparently a calculated stepping stone rather than a desire to serve the Commonwealth, his single term as governor began with a putsch to dislodge fellow Republican and acting Gov. Jane Swift and ended leaving a neglected, demoralized and rudderless Bay State GOP. A carpetbagger in it for himself, pure and simple.
