What does I T stand for?

Probably a question more than one politician has asked of a Page.

I won't have much to say about the current flurry of activity regarding the obviously disgusting pederast, former Congressman Foley.

But what are the odds that the various politicians (and journalists?) vying for airtime on the subject actually know the difference between an IM ("instant message") and an email? As we are beginning to learn, this is a distinction with a difference for Speaker Hastert and perhaps more than a few others who seem to be unable to make, or understand, the difference. Of course, those of us who live in the blogosphere understand the difference like most people understand the difference between radio and tv. But do we really think most politicians (especially those not communicating electronically with 16 years olds) have experienced the difference?

Drudge is saying the "youth" in question was 18.

Still has an "ick" factor, but takes the whole scandal out of the realm of criminality and pedophilia.

ABC apparently wasn't going to reveal this little "detail" to the public.

PA: still better reporting than Fox "News," who referred to Foley as a democrat:

I'd seen that Fox goof over at pajamas media, phrizz11, and apparently it happened twice. They filed it under wishful thinking. That doesn't get us to scare quotes around "news," however.

As to the IM's, do many adults know much about blocking messages?
