Against All Enemies: The Movie

In the forgettable tradition of All The President's Men, Sony is going to produce a movie version of Richard Clarke's irredeemably tendentious Against All Enemies: Inside America's War on Terror. Self-importance being Richard Clarke's most recognizable trait -- at least to those of us who know him only through his book and television appearances -- it is appropriate, I suppose, that Sean Penn has snagged the leading role.

Of course, those of us on the right want to know who's going to play Al Gore. Or do you think that they will omit the "go grab his ass" scene from the screenplay?

Oh pul-eaze.

I suggest smart-aleck Baldwin for the part of Al Bore. He can gain a few thousand pounds, slick his hair back and no one will know the difference.

Maybe after the premiere they'll both leave the country and move to France.

I live in hope.
