"An uncanny knack of knowing where the future will happen"
As we prepare to welcome the leader of the world’s most powerful republic, it behooves us to make sure that we grapple with facts, not just biased opinions. It is unfortunate that so much of the information about the US is derived by our elites from the eastern seaboard, Left-leaning media who are on the opposite side of the American political spectrum from George W. Bush and who therefore have a vested interest in opposing and disparaging him.
The images of Bush they have succeeded in planting internationally are that Bush is dim-witted, a simple-minded religious fanatic, a supporter of a rapacious plutocracy. None of these are based on facts. But like all propaganda, there is a feeling that repeated often enough, loudly enough, it’ll become the accepted truth.
Read the whole thing.

It always amazes me when people write stuff or post stuff on the internet that the unwashed masses will never see or if they did wouldn't be able to read let alone understand.
The people that hate us are not interested in any trade deals or any kind of relations with us except for the chance to kill us, take our money and rape our women.
Maybe not even in that order.

I disagree with much of what the author says, but he's right about this much -- Mr. Bush doesn't get the credit he deserves on some issues.
Although the author rightly mentioned the appointment of African-Americans, he failed to cite Bush's startlingly progressive record on the appointment of/reliance on women.
It's an issue for which I've long thought Bush was denied appropriate credit. I expound on it at some length in my humble, upstart blog, if anyone cares to take a look.

People should be given positions based off merit, not race. Race should not matter. Ever.
Isn't that how we're supposed to think?
Then why isn't it practiced?
Progressive... pft.
