Did you catch the Winter Olympics last night?

Neither did anyone else. Sportsprof tells us why.

And while you're over there, check out his excellent tribute to a piece of LL Bean outerwear. I was kind of suprised his comments box wasn't jammed with similar anecdotes.

Haven't read the linked post yet - but sent this to John Gibson yesterday:

The OLYMPICS are no longer a competition of countries-
just a giant demonstration of athlectic abilities - sort of a Ted Turner "One World" dream.

They have a metal tally that is 2 lines at bottom of the screen so you can't really see what country is in the lead.

No national anthems played at the opening ceremonies.

Understand NBC continues to cut short the notes of the Star Spangled Banner or totally eliminate when we win.

Guess it would hurt the self esteem of any country
bested the USA! Writing from Pittsburgh - we sure weren't worried about hurting the Seahawks' self esteem!

Olympics are done! We don't know which "victims" we should be rooting for!

UPDATE:
Gumbol's ridiculous remark and the Affirmative Actioners affirming that the
winter games are rich men's
games. They are also rather
lonely endeavors with initial practice and skill developed besting only yourself - versus reactions to others on the court or field.
