CBS Lets News Chief's Contract Expire

The NYT is reporting that Andrew Heyward, the head of CBS News, will be replaced by Sean McManus, the current CBS sports head. Les Moonves, who runs CBS, apparently announced the decision today.

So Heyward, who bears leadership responsibility for Rathergate, will vanish from the scene...very discreet to simply let his deal expire...good for CBS.
