More desecration of Jewish graves

Vandals desecrated 86 tombstones dating to the 1870s in a Jewish cemetery in London, spraying some of them with Nazi swastikas and racial slurs while knocking them over, police said Thursday.

The attack was reported a day after Hungarian authorities said about 130 tombstones were knocked down and broken at the Kozma Street Jewish Cemetery in Budapest. Culture Minister Andras Bozoki said the government would "provide all assistance" necessary to repair the tombstones....

The attack is the third desecration of a Jewish cemetery in Britain this year. The first involved the painting of swastikas and SS signs on 12 gravestones in a Hampshire cemetery.

Earlier this month, staff at a Jewish cemetery in Manchester, northern England, discovered that at least 96 graves had been toppled or smashed. Some of the stones, which are up to 70 years old, may have marked the graves of Holocaust survivors who came to Britain after the war, Jewish community leaders said.

Earlier this week, Europe's top human rights watchdog expressed concern at the "considerable and steady rise of anti-Semitic incidents" in Britain.

According to people who keep track of such things, there were more anti-Semitic acts in Great Britain last year than in any other year in the last twenty. The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance says -- with at least a hint of excuse-making -- that "these incidents usually mirror tensions in the Middle East." Meaning, of course, that the perpetrators are disproportionately or even mostly Muslims, among whom anti-Semitism is achieving levels that the world has not seen since 1945.

Of course, anti-jewish sentiment in Europe is nothing new. At least in this case it isn't organized by the governing locals, even if they do precious little to stop the local muslim fanatics from exercising their prejudice with violence. It wasn't enough that alot of the dead Jews whose graves they're vandalizing were put there by anti-jewish sentiment, they also want to remind the dead of the prejudice.
How nice. And of course, how stupid.

Again, people might recall the outcry when Sharon invited the 600,000 French Jews to Israel if they wanted to get away from the French Arab anti-jewish sentiment brewing in France.

My view on this is reasonably simple -- if the Europeans want to swap out their rather small number of highly productive Jewish citizens in favor of their (appreciably less productive)muslim radical populations, all the more reason to believe Europe is headed for the social and economic trash bin.
