This just in
Iran, Syria want rapid departure of Iraq occupiers' - headline, Arab News. Of course, Syria never wanted us there. Iran wanted us to get rid of Saddam, which is why it played ball during the war, and now it wants us gone too so that it can become the dominant player in the Gulf. That's why it has been funding Al-Sadr's grumpy Shiites, and otherwise making it difficult for the United States.
Of course, they hate Israel even more:
Well, somebody has to monitor Iranian nuclear facilities. I sleep well at night even hoping that Israel is doing so, because I know that if they find anything truly disturbing they will take action, with or without American acquiescence. And when they do, the world will denounce them, never bothering to ask why Iran, awash as it is in oil, might need nuclear energy.

In a separate report, Syrian Information Minister Ahmad Al-Hassan told the Iranian news agency IRNA that Assad would also be discussing the alleged presence of Israeli forces inside Iraq.
"Unfortunately, the Israelis are active in northern parts of Iraq and their presence poses a serious threat to Iranian and Syrian security," he was quoted as saying.
In June, the New Yorker magazine alleged that Israeli intelligence agents had infiltrated Iraq's Kurdistan and slipped across into Iran to monitor nuclear facilities.
