The site of the WTC, and the memory of the fallen
After the ESP, we took a cab downtown to the site of the WTC on the day that workers placed the cornerstone of the new building that will go there. Along the gate there are memorial plaques, and we found the name of Welles Crowther. Welles was my stepfather's nephew, the "man in the red bandanna" who gave his life so others might live. Read his story here, and remember.
