How could any place with Islamist militants be safe?

'Report: Group says Marine in safe place' - headline, Associated Press. "An Iraqi militant group said Monday it had not killed a U.S. Marine it was holding captive, Al-Jazeera television reported."

How can anybody in their right mind equate "not killed" with "safe"? No wonder we have no respect for big media.
