Yes, that is Sid Ceasar, from 1954. Television was different then. Not necessarily better, but definitely different.

Heck, even the cartoons employed opera back then. Elmer Fudd as a valkarie? Bugs doing Barber of Saville? Why not Sid and Imogene (?) doing Beethoven's Fifth.

The lady, of course, is Nanette Fabray who was an occasional performer on "Your Show of Shows."

One primary reason why they used classical music in cartoons was because the copyrights had run out. The Disney empire made sure that wouldn't happen again, at least to Mickey.

Oops! I should have recognized Nanette. I will plead the excuse that whenever one thinks of Sid Ceasar, Imogene Cocoa comes to mind.
